Stephan Ellmer is an independent type designer and founder of The Pyte Foundry. His Fonts, inspired by niche styles of 19th century type, are experimental and full of character. The poster and animation serve as an advertisement for a Guest Lecture in the class of Design and Narrative Media under the title “Exercises in Style//Stilübungen.”
The design takes an analogue approach, using scans of literal type exercises to create an eclectic collage of scribbles, which present the information in a handmade playful way.
